My Apartment (A-BOW-D)
My first apartment is a fresh, bright and serene space for me. My Mom and I thoroughly enjoyed styling the space with old and new pieces. The overall aesthetic is a very feminine pink and white color palette with accents of green and blue. We enjoyed mixed in various textures - gold and silver metals and touches of rattan.
We started with a white couch we found at Arhaus Loft. The beautiful crisp white sofa was a fantastic find for the living room in my one bedroom abode (A-BOW-D). My coffee table is a hand-me-down from my parents. It is a lovely round woven Serena and Lily piece with a white removable top. We added an end table for a second piece of rattan. The rattan definitely keeps the space feeling light and airy, but still sophisticated.
A great addition to any room is a pouf! We found these two whimsical blue and white striped ones that are perfect for the room. The nice thing about the poufs is that they can easily be moved around for extra seating. We added a couple of white cushioned spindle chairs we found from Target. They are sturdy, very comfortable and flank a brass adjustable table.
We had a great time hunting for area rugs and had great luck at our local HomeGoods store. We found the area rug for the living room as well as my bedroom. The really fun part of the design for me is adding the accessories after we had the main pieces. We incorporated some ginger jars, a tree and some pretty lamps. Accessorizing the coffee table is easy with my simple color palette. We incorporated some coffee table books, vases and candlesticks. I like to switch items around frequently and it is simple to do if you acquire pieces that are versatile.
My television sits atop a hand-me-down buffet from my parents. It is a more modern piece but adds variety to the room.
A favorite addition to my apartment is the bar cart. The gold and glass wheeled cart is small, but the perfect size for my space and I love decorating it for the seasons. The cart is not only a delightful accessory, it is also a fantastic storage and small enough that I can easily move it around if necessary.

Another easy addition for most small spaces is a bistro table and two chairs. My set folds and I have used it so much. It is great not only for eating, having an afternoon coffee, but also as a work space. I like that I can move it easily and it stores well.

The kitchen has ample storage for my dishes, utensils and serving pieces. I was gifted lovely gray and white check pieces from MacKenzie Childs and enjoy having them on display on my counters. All the pieces are both pretty and functional.
My island is a focal point and a simple space to style and I like to change it frequently. My white bar stools are the perfect addition to the island and coordinate well with the space.
The bedroom is a true oasis, with a white comforter, white pillow shams and a blush pink oversized pillow. The area rug from HomeGoods is a soft mix of taupe, white and blush pink. I brought my chest of drawers, desk, upholstered chair and floor mirror from home. We added a nightstand and gold desk bow accents.
One of my favorite features of the apartment is the little balcony. I styled it with two outdoor chairs, a little table and for privacy I added a faux boxwood planter. The vignette makes for a lovely view!

Art work can sometimes be tricky to find. I have a darling Gray Malin print in my kitchen that brings a bit of whimsy to the space. My bedroom consists of prints I purchased from Etsy and framed in white Target frames. The large piece of art work above my couch is from my parents. I added framed poster artwork from prints I found at a local boutique.

The bathroom is modern and simple with light pink bath accessories, white towels and a couple of pieces of framed art on the wall. Everything is cohesive and flows so well.
