My 21st Birthday Celebration!
Pop! That is the sound of champagne being popped to begin the celebration of ringing in twenty-one years old! We celebrated my milestone by having an intimate candle lit dinner with my family at The Union Club of Cleveland. Over the years it has been a memorable place for us to celebrate events. We took advantage of the occasion and all dressed up - I think it was the first time in eight months that I wore heels! I wanted to make sure I had a distinct dress to look back on so we chose the perfect classic Halsted dress because it is elegant, timeless and we love the tulip full skirt.
My Mom worked on every detail for the night to make it as grand as possible. The theme of the evening was champagne. She worked with Poppin' Cleveland to create a gorgeous balloon garland that looked like champagne fizzing out of a bottle. It was the backdrop for the evening and perfect for photos.
The cake was another little show-stopper! My Mom worked with our local favorite bakery, Wild Flour to design our Veuve Clicquot in an ice bucket cake. The cake tied in perfectly with the balloons. Continuing with our champagne theme, each person had a mini split of champagne that doubled as a place card holder and a favor. My Mom made a pretty centerpiece of white roses in a footed container for the centerpiece and added crystal and gold candlesticks with white taper candles.
Another fun detail from the celebration was a picture board. My Mom surprised me with pictures from each birthday leading up to twenty-one. We all so much fun looking back at these memories and all the years of various birthday themes. Another aspect of the evening included a photographer who took beautiful photos that I will have forever to remember the night.
My family and I enjoyed a candle lit dinner with champagne, laughter, great conversation and a yummy slice of cake to end the night. The party was the perfect way to start my twenty-first year.
