Dorm Room Decor

Our family had a great time helping Elizabeth prepare for her freshman dorm room! The result is fantastic and a great cozy space for Elizabeth and her roommate. The inspiration for the entire look was the vintage tennis racquet that we found this summer while visiting antique stores.
Needing a simple way to hang the racquet, we attached a grosgrain white ribbon. Elizabeth wanted a gallery wall and after hunting for the right look, she had inspiration from a photo we have hanging in our lake house porch. It is a photo of beach umbrellas I took in Palm Beach. She decided to use original photos to decorate her room. We chose the photos after scrolling through our own pictures and purchased poster sized prints from Shutterfly.com.
We laid out the gallery wall frames on the ground with a variety of sizes. However in person, we ended up simplifying the look and only used two large prints with the racquet in between the photos. To add a pop of color to the space, we used removable wallpaper. Elizabeth loves her dorm room space.
Because the feedback was so positive, we made two sizes of our prints available for purchase on our website. They are printed on card stock and are perfect for popping into a frame or standing alone on an easel or plate stand. They look cute tacked onto a bulletin board or hanging with washi tape on the wall. I like to rotate the photos on my desk and even my bar cart. The photos are a simple way to update any space!
